Launch! …Part 1

Today is an exciting day for CoffeeWithAnExpert.com!

We started the process of launching this little project out into the world…The idea for this project, which is the 5th Hundred Dollar Business, began on July 27, 2008…

Today, $10.18 and 30 days later, we opened up registration for experts and are beginning to list profiles for the free Ask An Expert chat service. We are also in the process of scheduling Coffee Clinics with our coworking space partners in Seattle and Portland.

What is most exciting about this is the opportunity to pull resources together in a way that can meet the skill gaps that exist in startup companies and make it difficult to get things done.

Often, a talented business entrepreneur often needs just a little help from a tech guy, or a programmer needs 20 minutes of help from a marketing guru.

Where do you go to learn things on the fly. when Google’s not finding the right info fast enough, and hiring a full-time employee or consultant is too much for your need and budget?

This site, and the services we will be rolling out, are designed precisely with this in mind. We want to build something that meets the exact needs of stressed out entrepreneurs in a simple, low-key,  leveraging-existing-community-resources kind of way.

In summary, I can’t wait to see where this is going to go. :) By the way, I love the photo above because it fits the essence of the $100 model to a “T”: simple projects worked on in the backyard with duct tape, that have surprising rocket fire potential for such a low-grade effort.

If you like what we’re doing, check out our Get Involved page for a list of paid and unpaid ways to participate in the project. This is going to be fun.

    Carolynn,

I continue to feel so fortunate that we bumped into each other a while back and that we collaborated on your - what was it? - third or fourth One Hundred Dollar plan.

You are innovative, incredibly enthusiastic, professional, person-able and daring and totally committed to the communities you serve.

    Congratulations! Kudos! Rock on!

I think this is a very nifty idea that is directly and hopefully effectively addressing a problem facing many entrepreneurs. Kudos for kicking it off.

Jessan, thanks! Meeting awesome people such as yourself is one of the best parts of the HDB experience!
